You become a pasty-skinned, short-sighted, spindly-armed, fat-assed Uber-Gamer.

In addition, the gamer's exclusive diet of pizzas, is sure to lead to massive heart attack, followed by death, at the end of the second year.

Yep, we're dropping like flies these days.

On more serious note:

Possible eye damage due to focal point not changing

Possible Repetitive Strain Injury

Possible Deep-Veined Thrombosis

Weight problems due to lack of physical exercise

Heart Disease

HTH

You would have some problems, but think of how good you would be

Sitting down for long periods of time can also cause blood clots.

CGS

CGS is CHRONIC GAMING SYNDROME. Derived from an addictive quality found in videogames. It can cause an addiction that may require medicine or therapy. Medicines include social stimulants (ie prozac). Therapy includes watching television instead.

take a look at this...

Nine day computer game exhausts boy

A 14-year-old Romanian boy has suffered a breakdown after reportedly playing a computer game for nine days and nights in a row.

Michel Savin collapsed in an internet cafe and was taken to hospital where doctors said he was physically and mentally exhausted.

His mother said he had become so addicted to playing Counter Strike that he had lost weight, missed classes and stopped washing.

Magda Savin, from Iasi, says she intends to ask the authorities to ban youngsters from internet cafes after 10pm.

Mrs Savin told National newspaper: "My son spends his nights and days in front of the computer playing this game.

"He missed hundreds of classes, he lies, steals things from the house to sell them and get money for the internet. He didn't wash for days and lost about 18lbs."

I'm not like this (yet) but it's kinda scary. I know one guy that is like that... and he has absolutely NO life all he do is gaming. he go to bed at like 5am and go to school at 9 and he's sleeping all day long (at school) heh it sux!

Played almost every day for the last 5 years or so, and my weight is at 215, lower than my usual 225. Not that I am normal by any sense of the word, as I am a freak. Some do take it to an unhealthy extreme, though. It doesn't have to be the way these bad examples have shown.

I work at a "cyber cafe" and you get 15mins per drink. I let ppl stay on if there's no one waiting to use one. Some computers here are game worthy and some are just email/browsing boxes. We are thinking of upping the bandwidth to do lan parties and stuff, right now it's just basic dsl. Matter of fact, I am up here at the cafe in the loft stealing bandwidth right now... Nice to play online with a dsl ping rather than dialup...
