Help me Tiretool!
I'm playing on-line for first time and as I said above, I die a lot. My pings are running in the 350 to 400 range. Other players said 200 would be reasonable for 56K modem. Where do I start in trying to increase the speed? PIII 700 256K RAM USR int modem 56K I use a local ISP here in Rockford. I heard this would be faster than larger ISP's. This game looks like so much fun, but it"s really annoying to die before you see your opponent. Thanks, AndyM

There are several modem/registry tweaks that I'm sure reboot or one of the other modem gurus could point you to... other than that, be sure you get a good connection when you dial in. Bandwidth is probably the most important factor in online gaming. A difference of 50 milliseconds in a game can mean the difference between being competitive and getting shot by people you can't even see...
Also, always connect to games that show a low ping time in the list of servers. They usually show 5 or 6 green dots. Best of luck!
