BLEEM! is a Playstation emulator. There aren't any PS2 emulators that'll play any commercial games as of yet.

I think they're only legal if you actually OWN the game on the console system. For instance, if you owned Gran Turismo on the Playstation you could use an emulator to play Gran Turismo on your PC. I don't think they're legal if you don't already own the game on the other platform though. Something about them having to be declared "freeware" or something in order to do that.

Yep, their legal as long as you own the game since you're entitled to keep a backup of something you own. If you don't own the title then I believe you must delete after 24 hours or something like that.

I got it from a file-sharing network that shall remain nameless.

Emulators are perfectly legal. Unless they use copyrighted code (ie. dumping playstation bios to make an emulator work.) BLEEM! went down because Sony kept them in court until they couldn't afford to fight anymore.
There's also nothing legal about making backups of roms or deleting the file after 24 hours. But, distributing them is really the only way I've ever even heard of anyone ever being so much as approached by anyone's lawyers or anything. Besides, for the true purpose for emulation (to make software for hardware that is no longer produced usable) its not terribly likely that some company that doesn't exist anymore is going to sue you for downloading old atari games that only have like 4 physical copies still in existance. Oh, and don't believe everything those descriptions on Kazaa and such say. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. And to anyone who download something claiming to be a PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube emulator, do yourself a favor and run a virus check and adaware or something. |

i used GT3 and toca race driver, they worked after a little bit of shouting and reseting the emulator
![]() but it made my CPU soar, so i just use my PS2 instead

Blast! it doesnt work Spyda! I tried and reied, it keeps saying, "Disk read error" I used both my burner drive and the DVD drive. I think it might have something to do with the fact that when I open and close the drive, the computer is reading the drive and the app is trying to read the drive at the same time, that make sense? Why couldn't he just have issued a 'run' command instead of that open/close crap?

i put the disc on the drive tray and clicked close on the emulator, so the emulator gets the chance to read the disc first, like you have to with CloneCD
