Half-Life 2 announced

http://planethalflife.com/
Hopefully the game will be as good as the first one, I don't want it to end up something like Unreal 2.

I remember a blurb in PCGamer that listed all the dates that HalfLife 2 was supposed to come out. It went something like July 1999, Oct 1999, Dec 1999, Feb 2000, April 2000, July 2000.... you get the idea. Not that I dont care, I can't wait to see it, but I'll believe it when its on shelves.

This really annoys me...everyone raves about the badass ending there was in Half-life...Ive never seen it... I played it, beat it, but it just restarts after the final shot of the big head dude. It just restarts, and I never saw it...everyone tells me what happned...but I never saw it or my own eyes...

From what I understand, there is some "Suit" that you see walking around from time to time during the game, and you dont find out that he is like a high rep from the main office of Black Mesa until the end, and he essentially tells you, work for us, or die, and apparently Gordon decides that living is better...Hence HL2

Ok, well even so, Valve has definetly been taking their time on this. I suppose it is because HL is still so popular, with all the mods coming out. Im still psyched about the game, dont get me wrong!

I never got farther than five minutes into the first game before I got stuck. I pushed the cart into the laser-thing, and then wandered around for a while killing zombie-looking things. I could never figure out what to do next. If that's not pathetic, I don't know what is

LoL - Dont feel bad man, I consider myseld a pretty hardcore gamer, Ive even won a few video game competitions, tekken3 and Starcraft(sorry to brag but im really proud of it). I did the same thing...got to the part in the lab, and couldnt get out...but to be fair I didnt even give it a real chance...I just kind of messed with it for lke 5 mins and then put it back in the case and didnt take it out until the next year...GLAD I did thoughl...I now love the game

Who you quoting that from Tim?? Poe? Think I saw that in one of his poems or short stories.

Remember I am a poet. I just put into words what I am feeling. The first part is my expression, the second part is a colloquialism that I hear a lot and use a lot.
I know what the first part is reminding you of. The Tale, Tale Heart by Poe. I can still see the tiniest sliver of light coming from that lantern and the protagatonist prying opening the floorboards feverishly to reveal the body of his victim after being deluged with the thumping of that tale, tale heart.
