As far as how to find games, the in game browser is worthless. Get All Seeing Eye. http://www.udpsoft.com |

Do you have a link for the original video of that stunt? Or is it some fancy photoshop editing?

Nah, dont' have the original, it was posted as a DivX (I think he captured it thru TV out then encoded it), as soon as it was gif'd the guy took the link down.
It's one of the few games that's ahead of it's time hardware-wise avx487, but thankfully it doesn't require a constant 80+ frames per sec to be playable, anything in the 50-60 frames per sec range is fine. The guns are realistic, not precise hitscan weapons. |

anyone else seen that real-life video of the man getting sucked through a jet engine on an aircraft carrier?
funnily, he survived, but the massive sucking thrust of the turbines ripped all of his clothes off lol

Well BF1942 toons are more realistic than most video game models are, but their chances of survival after getting hit by a jet or falling thru helicopter blades are a big fat zero

I saw a Navy training film wherein a flight deck got his head removed and sent thru the entire pp. He was walking a little too near an intake when the GE was spooling up and he just couldn't fight the draft. Nasty to see.

When the Air Force was interested in upgrading the engines on the KC 135 Refueling aircraft about 15 years ago, they were being courted and wooed by a few of the more prominent jet engine manufacturers. To demonstrate the "new improved" model that one of these companies brought to the table, they mounted the engine to a stand in the Test Pod, throttled it up to a good cruising speed and tossed a full size, completely frozen turkey into the intake. Turkey salad came out the back and the engine didn't even miss a beat. They were demonstrating some type of new Titanium turbine designs which were extremely impervious to debris damage.
I'd find it very hard to believe that a man could withstand a trip into the intake of a jet engine if the turbine fans in front had started turning at all. Last edited by Tiretool; 04-27-2003 at 08:37 AM. |

He got sucked it, but never made it to any moving parts. Debris, like his helmet and such, as reported in TV shows, stop the engine soon / quick enough to avoid being sliced and diced.
