Anyone know if the 9500s lock the ref rate in games?
Or does one need a tool like NVRefTool, only for ati?
I am talking abt opengl games only. I have my mon set to 100, will the 9500 play at 100 or does it do the xp 60 cycle default? |

You'll want a locker for the 9500. Get the "Radeonator 2.0" at CNet. Use the locker and it will automatically adjust for OpenGL as well. On top of that, you can OC a bit with Radeonator2.0. Enjoy.

Welcome.
Hey Blakhart, you have the 9500 PRO right? I hope so, cause i just gave you the BIOS for the 9500 PRO in the other thread! If you have a 9500 (non-PRO), you dont need to flash the BIOS. Also, Radeonator 2.0 will not work well for the unflashed 9500 PRO (it wont hurt it, but it wont allow OCing until the BIOS is flashed.) ![]() Hope i didn't make things complicated. |

I got a dl from guru3d that locks the ref rate for any card, permanently.
I can't believe the diff in fps games. Outstanding. |
