Baseline: 276 core/ 270 mem OC: 351 core/ 317 mem Baseline: 180.2 (Complex 3D test) OC: 238.0 (complex 3D test) Ill post pics as soon as i can use my little sis's digital camera.

Ok, neat feature in the software. Saved the images...
I circled the scale numbers in red to show that they were different scales. ![]() The orange is where its at. |

Passmark.com, I think...
Ok so the oc has merit. Perhaps I will engage in such activity after all.... Last edited by Blakhart; 04-28-2003 at 06:35 PM. |

Lol! I am glad to hear it! Both of you guys are showing interest in this stuff now. Its a SMALL file BTW.
Blakhart, i have a feeling that that is not all the card can handle. (yikes!) Ill update with more. BTW, that OC was VERY stable. Ill try some of the other settings that ive seen. (370/ 330)... |

Ok, here's the best for now without artifacting, jittering or smearing... I still would like to bump the memory up a tad...

Thanks
![]() The vc BIOS i used is called 9500warp.bin . Ive also seen it called 95Rad128.bin . Just make sure you flash it with the same name as it is on your floppy in DOS. If you need more info, I AM here to help, but Rage3D has a pretty good discussion going on it (53 pages)! Warp11 (the creator) is on that message board also, but itll be hard to talk to him, trust me. He went from nobody to the most famous ATi modder on earth over night! |

Lol, i just realized that i ran those tests in 640x400 window. the result comparisons still apply, but i shoud have run them in 1024x768 rendering mode.
i did that and the framerate hit well into the thousands. the ratio is still the same, but i should have known that 13 fps is a little too low... more like 553.8 fps! (with all textures etc.)

2nd, half, had to split it cos
1. The file size was too big 2. The picture itself was massive, something like 1600 pixels high |

Yea i'll post mine.
But first, when i use all the tests, it shows my 3D scores to be like 13 fps and really low (as shown above ). What the heck? the only way i get the TRUE scores is when it is in 1024x768 rendering mode (in the advanced tests), how do i get it to use 1024x768 redndering mode when i use "run all tests" ??? Then we can compare fairly!

If you have the ref rate locked, that may be a prob in benches. I ran into the same prob till I turned off the rate lock. Also you have to set a "doable" ref rate in 640x480 and in 800x600 or you will have probs in benching the passmark software. Also you might want to set the opengl properties vsynch to default on so that the app makes the decision as to wether vsynch is on or no.

Spyda and lil jimmie, i think lil j's is a lot higher because of his memory type and his MoBo's speed/ architecture. In addition, his 3D scores will be a lot higher because the remember that the Radeon 9700PRO has 256 mb of memory, not 128, or in your case 64 mb. Its just a simple case of better components hauling ass. As for the Math tests, i am still quite stumped as to how they could be so far apart.
Lil Jimmie, do you OC your CPU? Blakhart, thanks ill try that. ![]() Texus Pete, OCing a 2700 requires modifications that i'm not comfortable doing right now (its brand new). When i do, then yes, my CPU is capable of hauling ass. Kingston isn't the best OCing memory in addition....

Ok, so its the same, therefore i think he must have OC'd the hell out of that thing. I think the math tests reflect strictly CPU and maybe slighly the memory, but still, i think he OC'd his to at least 2.8 or higher....

yeah I have it OC to 3.06. I believe the video scores would be higher if I only had one monitor hooked up to it.
