Which games to get?

Hi guys.

I have a new cpu which I built for gaming. I bought Wolfenstein, however, I have had nothing but problems with this game, due to GL problems and all. I have tried a lot of different stuff to fix the problem. Anyway, I am looking for a few new games to try out, preferably maybe fps shooters or something like that. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Asus A7N8X
Athlon 2400
512 MB Crucial 2700
SB Live 5.1
WD 4G HD
Antec Server Case

NK, i think he wants something that will haul-A$$ on his new CPU.

I think Unreal2, Jedi Night Outcast II, Unreal Tournament, and wait for Doom3.

If you're a Star Wars fan, definately JKII

btw, Sleepypost, I don't know if you were sleepy or something, but it's "Knight", not "Night".

Nightfire???

No offense or anything but 007 Nightfire blows... poor damage models bad physics... and unlike the console version it dosen't have a driving mode!!!! GRRR !!! Anyways you might like GTA3... Max Payne is really cool even though it's older and Return To Castle Wolfenstein is really nice... multiplayer is great. Try to get it to work.

Download your card's updated drivers and im pretty sure that'll fix the game. I know ATi addressed RTCW specifically with the catalyst 3.2 drivers.

ok, if you the Radeon 9500PRO with the 2.4 drivers (depends on whence you bought it), i would suggest downloading the 3.2 ones. just uninstall the old ones first and you can always rollback if a problem arises.

Unreal Tournament gets my vote. Unreal 2003 pisses me off because they sold out to the Q3A goofy cartoony stupid look. Not that I'm bitter...

You don’t need broadband for Medal of Honor, but it helps.

Do you mean BF: 1942? Online play is the meat of this game, and it would be a sham to try and play it through dial-up. Unless you have a high-speed connection, there's no reason to get the game.

and i thought the smallest was 20GB

I cant get broadband, but i have something better than that, made up of 2 main components, the first one you will all recognise instantly, a network, or LAN for you nitpickers

the second, may take a little time to aquire for its rarity, and the fact that you have to get off your computer to get it, yes you heard right, you cannot download this off the internet

wait for it

friends

No, when I made my comment "....if he has broadband", delta013 replied "You don’t need broadband for Medal of Honor, but it helps.". I was referring to BF: 1942, not MOHAA.

No, I meant that I know you can play Medal of Honor with dial-up. I’m advocating Medal of Honor over BF 1942 basically.

I don’t have BF 1942.
