It kind of depends on what type of RPG your talking about. Morrowind, anything from Bioware, Final Fanatasy 7, and Grandia 2 are some I like, though they all play quite different.

Are we talking just PC or consoles too? I'd have to say Final Fantasy 7 (the PSX version) hands down.

avx, i hadn't considered Zelda as an RPG until this dude said, "wow, you're buying TWO RPGs in one day!" and I had bought Xenosaga and Zelda the Wind Waker. I thought about it and I was like, wow, Zelda DOES have a bunch of RPG like elements.
![]() Anyway, my favorite RPG is Final Fantasy IX. That is the greatest Playstation title in my opnion... |

Fallout and Fallout 2.
Surprising no one has mentioned DeusEx, one of the best RGPs.

LoL - Well I dont have a normal definition of what RPG is sleepy
I figure that any game that takes me over 12hrs to complete, deserves the title RPG...The first time I played Zelda it took me forever and a day...but now I got it down to a pattern...so I can beat it in like 4hrs.. Still a great game...I heard wind walker was lame though...much like that Major Mask crap... |

I really like Phantasy Star Online, although I played it on the dreamcast for free. Now it's on the Xbox but with a monthly fee and I think on the gamecube.

I saw morrowind and the expansion in my pretty much daily trip to best buy the other day, i almost picked up morrowind cause i need a new game but i was like na ill wait. So im deciding between morrowind and C&C generals. Also rise of nations looks pretty good.

Morrowind and Dark Age of Camelot. One is single player RPG, and the other is an online RPG.

i dunno, i think the realistic backgrounds of the 64 games were amazing and brought about feelings of awe and excitment but what about the cel-shaded graphics??? i think they bring more majestic and timeless feelings.... ![]() that's my take. |

![]() I understand you point of view. I don't dislike cel shading, I just wondered if it might've taken away from the game a little. I like the cartoonishness of cel shaded games aswell, just was wondering... Thanks, -Joe |
