PlanetSide, Anyone Play It?
If so what do you guys think about it? And what server do you play on?

It was between PlanetSide and Star Wars Galaxies when I was looking at which MMORPG to go to next and I decided to go to SWG simply because I had been following it for a while. PlanetSide looks like a great game and I may go to it eventually. It looks very impressive. Asking someone who plays, what do you think of it?

Its a really good game, except for all the bugs they have right now to fix. Once all those bugs are gone, this game will rock and more people will buy it. If you like FPS then you will love this one.

It doesn't take the Sony games long to fix these bugs. I played EverQuest and they were really good about it. The screenshots for the game are very impressive.

The game is tight but all the bugs are screwing it up right now, when the bugs are gone... the game will rock.

I was a beta-tester, and at first the exp system was great, but then SOE changed it for the release version and I heard its alot worse. I might get it after I upgrade my ram. Also, Supra if your PS name is Ludacris I think I remember seeing your posts on the PS forum.

I post under ToyotaSupra360 on PS forums, the xp was easier in beta because they wanted people to be able to try everything out before the game was released

I play as SwingingUtters on konried server. There is a huge learning curve in the beginning. THEN THE GAME KICKS SO MUCH ASS! i was up all hours playing that game.
but now ive played it for about 1 1/2 and ive already tried out all the certs and there seems to be no point to the game now. Its like take a base get useless xp, take a base get usless xp. i sort of stopped playing it

Its supposed to be a regular FPS but they added a touch of RPG in it.

I heard this game is very monotonous, and that if you capture a base, it has no meaning because it is taken back so easily.

Its taken back so easily because everyone who was attacking to take it leaves after the base is captured and the other faction comes in the backdoor and takes it back.

i play as Toecutter, VS on the Werner server (Europe) and I really enjoy it. I don't get to play a great deal, which is why I'm still getting a kick out of it. I really hope that SOE will add some meaning to capturing and holding a base in the near future, cos as said above, you fight, cap and move on. There is little incentive to stay behind and defend the base. I'm looking forward to organised inter-oufit challenges, which would be a lot of fun. My outfit has already played a few of these as best we can (non-oufit members crash the party) and they actually provide a meaning to the game. Long may it evolve and prosper

I wish the would big all the bugs before they add more content, I cant play more than 30 minutes without getting a 'Conncetion Error' or 'You Have Left The World'
And then the frame rate, I get about 15-20 FPS in an average size battle. |

i bought it the day it came out, after a while of playing it just got really boring, once you get to a certain level theres nothing else to do. Theres no point to the game, so i switched to EVE online, now thats a great game!!!

thats pretty much all i play is FPS, Eve online is the first mmorpg ive played. before that all i played was fps and planetside was just plain boring. I got up to BR 19, cr 4, and after a while there wasnt much else you could do.
