Unreal Tournament 2003 or Unreal 2: The Awakening?
Are these both from the Unreal Tournament Series? Which is better? Do they both have free online play?

the review from extended play took a very bad rating for the enemy AI....
And they claim "the game will only let you know what a graphic cards for"

first off, unreal 2 is only singleplayer
i would say that unreal tournament 2003 is better because of the multiplayer support and the fact that there are many full conversion mods coming out for it that will enhance the game even more...i believe there is even a $1 million contest for the best total conversion mod but it all depends what your looking for....multiplayer vs single player |

I think the multiplayer aspect is the clincher. I have UT2K3 and I beat the single player tournament in a day. I heard that Unreal2 can also be finished quickly. So with 2 games that have short single player experiences, go with the game with replay value. I would go with Unreal Tournament2003.

Yeah its true you can beat UT2K3 in 1 day but the best part is playing any game type you want. Also you can download game packs which is awesome. Has anyone played the this one:
Mutant: The player who makes the first frag becomes the mutant and is immediately equipped with all weapons, extra ammo, invisibility, agility and berserk. However, the mutant’s health slowly decreases and can only be replenished by fragging other players. Once there is a “mutant,” all other players are charged with hunting him down. Points are scored only by the mutant when they frag other players. As an optional twist, the player with the lowest score becomes the BottomFeeder -- he can frag other players who are not the mutant and receive points. As soon as his score isn't the lowest, a new player becomes the BottomFeeder. |
