PC or Console?
Which do you prefer? I would go with PC.

I'm used to console, I really never got too much into PC gaming... So, I prefer console to an extent (Give me THPS and a Dualshock 2, and I'm set for life basically)

Not necessarily true ToyotaSupra, many of the users on this forum are intelligent folks who know that the console has been and will always be better than the PC. A lot of PC gamers know this but they are in denial because a $200 machine provides more quality fun than the $2000 beast they splurged on. I have one of those beasts and am still willing to admit that my PS2 is FAR more fun. Forget playing people on the web, it's all about playing friends in your house or having some good family time. Just my thoughts though.

I play a lot of MMORPG's, which is why I prefer to play on PC. Also, another advantage to PC gaming is having the ability to download patches and roster updates for games. And, creating and playing mods for games. Which, I'm sure isn't too far down the road for console gaming because of the increase in technology. Computer gaming is much more expensive, which is a downside but since I need a PC for other things like word processing, I don't find the need to purchase a console when I already have my computer, not to say consoles aren't good, because I enjoy playing XBox.

Console.
No matter the game, no matter the price of the game, conoles were just designed perfectly. The comfort level is diverse and so perfectly made for the average gamer...you can play it on the floor, on the couch, on a beanbag, on your bed, in a chair, anywhere! The controllers are designed specifically for comfort in your hands, they have a whole team dedicated to just designing the controller!! You cant beat that! Name me one person who didnt have *atleast* 1 problem getting used to that mangled keyboard they call a controller for the X-box..? I know when I got my paws on it I thought I was gonna have to take a yoga class to learn how to operate all the buttons using both hands, my feet, and my tongue when it was called for....I hate that controller... Designed for easiest portability and assembly...Sure, LAN parties are fun, but you still need to lug around your case, monitor, wires, and peripherals....not cool. With console, 1 piece of 10lb or less hardware, controllers, and your games...all can fit snuggly into just about any bookbag. Then you gut hook up the *2* wires, plug in the controllers, and lets game! You get to play with your friends, people who will rag on you, but only make you laugh, not tick you off, unlike people on the internet like good ol "733tPimpPlaya" or "SuperHaxor65" who just talk mad trash and make you want to kick through a wall. You definetly dont have to deal with as much crap, like dling the ltest patches, servers going down for maintenence, thos dorks that like to use "game enhancing programs" like map hack, or shoot through walls, or auto headshot...I dont like that non-sense, it kills the whole point of the game. Last but not least, the longevity of the system, I still got my PS1, they still make games for the PS1, and it will any of the new PS1 just as good as it will the ones made in like 99, unlike on a PC, when in about 2 or 3 yrs, most of the newer games are just too much for an older system... Computers are fun, and they got some pretty killer games...but, they are just arnt designed as perfectly as the console, the simplicity, the price, the longevity...Its just one of those things that you just cant top...

You still can't have the graphics or the sound that you can with the PC, neither can you upload new patches, mods, maps or characters...

Well I have to disagree with the GFX and sound, it takes like a 400 dollar vid card and a 700 monitor to top the same visuals you get from a 200 system and a 200 tv....
And the sound, well, a 150 dollar audio system, can crush any sound card and speakers you can get for a computer... As for the mods and patches...You do have a point, but most games are good enough that they dont need them.. |

PS2 has a much more extensive library than Xbox, Gta isn't the best game for Ps2, look into FF series, Tekken Series, Kingdom Hearts, and much, much more....

Nope, still wont buy it...I tried it, it sucked...Ill stick with the pros, Sony and Nintendo...Im definetly getting a game cube, they are releasing some killer games with that one lately...

Yeah, I've started to grow on to the GCN, but I still have a fight with nintendo for lying to the gamers. I can safely say this as i have not seen any SD card adpater for the memory card slot, any new, innovative franchiese (Except for Pikmin) and the nintendo difference, which includes not making a dozen spinoffs (Mario Sunshine, Zelda, SSB Melee, many more to mention) Although now they are working on a new Wario game, I'm forgiving them, as Wario is cool. Who doesn't like the good guy's cheating,stealing, greedy cousin ?

They can lie to me all they want...As long as the continue to make killer games like Zelda, Mario, Luigis Haunted Castle, OO7 Goldeneye, Super Smash Bros Melee, Donkey Kong - Its an endless list, not to mention that new game "Brute Force" that looks killer...

Indeed, but acessories and franchises mafe Nintendo what they are. a gaming company. Not a company that makes software, or a company that sells dishwashers. They make games. I'd really like to have the things we were promised... Soul Calibur is going to be hot....
