Boom EA Games...

Every time I try to install an EA game (MOHAA, NHL2002), the same things happen. It starts to go into the Install Shield, but as soon as it is about to load, I get a message that says: "An error has occured while launching the setup.

Catastrophic Failure"
How should I fix this... i bought a 20 dollar pack of 4 games, and i cant load it because of this.

What OS are you running? If its Windows 98, try reinstalling the operating system. Don't format, just reinstall. It will most likely replace any corrupt or missing files.

See if you can install them on another comp. ( What are friends for ? )
If they install then you have some trouble shooting to do.
If you can't install then the disks are defective.
Fill out the report box for tech support at the EA site.
They usually respond in about 24 hrs ( or at least I got a response within that time ). They'll give you instructions for mailing the games to them out in California and they will mail you replacements for them.

Or it could be some EA's registry entries are damaged.

Unfortunately, other than tell u dat I cannot help. Windows registry is a complete mistery to me.

But perhaps some other member can help you with dat?
