World of Warcraft
If you've been following Blizzards new MMORPG game, World of Warcraft, what do you think of it?

The beta testing is supposed to start in August. I'd guess it will be released early/mid next year.

I will be getting WoW, and it looks good, but looks can be decieving. SWG was supposed to be amazing, and many people think Planetside did not live up to its hype. Dark Age Of Camelot has average graphics and used to have a terrible physics engine, but now it's a great game with few major bugs and solid gameplay. MMORPGS are very unpredictable things. I trust Blizzard though, and I'm looking forward to it.

Yep, I've never not liked a game Blizzard's made....I own everyone! The screen shots and gameplay movies look excellent. There's not a whole lot of info out about it but from what there is, I think its going to turn out very very good.
The game's got great graphics and the Warcraft Universe has a huge history to base the game on. Tons of already famous (well, Famous to Blizzard fans anyways) characters and lands. I'm excited....

Blizzard is/has (not sure if its out yet) made Starcraft Ghost for XBox and Playstation 2 I beileve, but not for PC

starcraft ghost is not coming out on pc for sure but i have heard talk of starcraft 2 to come out within im guessing a couple years

WoW I beleive is going to be a great game. But the problem it is going to have is lag due to high graphics and everything they are planning to put in such as doing flybys of the zones. Unless you have a very high power machine you are going to be suffering from the rubberband effect like AC2. Also is content in the begining there is going to be hardly any content and this will can make or break any MMORPG. I have high hopes for this and I hope the people at blizzard will take these concerns in the consideration on designing the game.

First, there are currently no plans for a Starcraft 2.
Second, Blizzard has said they've tested the game out on a phone modem and it works well.... |

Yes they may have tested it on a dailup connection but the connection type is not the only thing that contributes to lag. The person computer itself can contribute to the problem. The computer has to process all the graphics, depending on your system it can be no LAG or alot of lag. ALso depending on the number of people in a certain zone may contribute to LAG also because the server has to deal with other people and your system will have to render not only your character but the other peoples also and their spells effects and their commuinication. So if you dont have a top of the line computer you will be suffering from the rubberband effect. I hope I am wrong but I think that this is going to be a huge problem with the game
