Increase ping

Wazup ppl. I went broke and lost my cable modem. I've been playing Raven Shield and My ping hovers around 200. I've heard of ways to fix ur modem settings to decrease ping. Is it true u can do this? If yes, then how?

Theres many factors that affect how fast you connect to a server...your ISP's connection - how fast you connect to their servers...the distance you are from the game server you're connecting to and the speed of its connection.

You can try to find some game servers closer to your location and sometimes you connect at different speeds to your ISP...if thats the case you can try connecting a few times and seeing if you can get a higher speed.

I haven't really heard of any way you can increase your speed on a dialup modem...just start saving up some money and subscribe for cable again.

True, there are some things you can try, but even if they do work for you, the amount of effort you put into it outweighs the benefits by far.

DSL or Cable are the only answers (imo)
