Video Game Suggestions

Does anyone know any good games that elementary students can play? They enjoy playing games like WarCraft, Age of Empire, Command & Conquer, Sonic, Vectorman and Megaman. But they are not allowed to play games like Counter Strike, Unreal, or any other really violent games. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Heros of might and magic can be a really good game although may not fit in the violence catagory. Its also a little complex. An oldie but goody is the Oregon trail. Just go check out ur local computer game store. They tend to have alot of non violent games that are really good for kids. I know there are a lot of learning programs that my cousins find really fun and they are in 2 and 5th grade.

Thank you Swimmfree200 for your input. If anyone else has any suggestions feel free to post them. My cousins tend to like more adult orientated games and get bored easily with educational games. But their parents do not allow them to play very violent games. Something like the ones I suggested in my above post is good or also games like Street Fighter and GTA are also good.

Assuming a bloodless and yet adult oriented game:

Combat Mission for a war game - very detailed and can be played with two opposing players.

Nascar 4 - racing! very popular these days and wrecks are great! Can be made easier with realisim turned down and can be played with several at a time assuming a network exists. There are moto cross games out there too.

Fliight Simluator (or IL2 rated T) for the pilots in the crowd

Or Age of Empires series (oops just re read the question so this is already approved), strategy and figthing but even less real, Stronghold follows this theme and has a pure econimics game, pure castle building, and normal econ and war.

Jurassic park project genesis, dinosaurs what else is there to say, T Rex does eat goats and cows but it is pretty generic.

Mech warrior is robotic fighting that is pretty much just like a lot of the PS2 games I have seen.

Of curse (typo for course but it applies) most of these are fighting games, but then it is just this that the kids want to play it seems.

Hope some of these are helpful

Gran Turismo and Tony Hawk are two of my favs, and have non violent themes (Well, theres blood in tHPS) and fun for people young and old. I liked JSRF also (The gameincludes vandalism in order to complete the goals, unless the kids playing it take the game realy really litterally, then you shouldn'y have a problem) and Sega GT2002 (Similar ot GranTrurismo)

Caesar 3. Lots of thinking and plus you learn some things about roman history.

The follow-up, Pharaoh is pretty good also and a little easier than C3.

Any of the "tycoon" games are great. Rollercoaster and Railroad tycoon are always being played by my younger cousins. I know there is also Airport, Mall, Zoo and Cruise Ship Tycoon.

Any of the Starcraft series may be a good idea. Medal of Honor and Battlefield are good action games, but they aren't gorey at all.

Tron 2.0 is a lot like Megaman.

Black and White.

Dark Age of Camelot. Although you have to pay monthly to play the game. Very good game though.

I spend my days playing StarCraft:BroodWar and Diablo2: LOD. Starcraft is basicly WarCraft in the future. Diablo2 might be too violent though. You can go see screenshots for Diablo2 here and Diablo2 LOD (the expantion pack) screenshots here to see for yourself. I would also suggest going to EBgames.com, they have reviews from real people on all their games, I always go there before buying one. That can also help you if you have any doubts with some games.
