3d Mark
I have always seen and heard about 3dMark. I know it's a benchmarking program but I've never thought about trying it. Does it cost anything? Where would I get it?

I downloaded the newest version and got a score of 831. Isn't that a horrible score? Shouldn't my system do better? Also, there was no sound during the tests. Is there suposed to be?
Here are my system specs ASUS A7V333 Mother Board AMD Athlon 1.8ghz CPU 512mb 333mhz DDR RAM 60 GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive 6GB 5200 RPM Hard Drive GeForce 4 ti 4800se 128mb Graphics Card Plextor 24/10/40x CDRW Acer 40x CD-ROM Windows XP Home Edition Cable Modem |

That's a great score. No sound is ok. Go to search and enter 3dMark and you can compare your scores with others.
EDIT: Upon taking a closer look, that is a low score. Your second score is more like it.

During the 3 of the 4 game tests the FPS dropped to around 3. That is not good. I see scores in the 1000's and up.

It was the game tests. Anyway, i installed 3dMark for Direct X 8.1 and I got a score of 6441.
