Riva TNT not working

Hey,

My old packard bell is in trouble. I just used the master recovery disc and reinstalled windows 98 and it works, but it's not working with the riva tnt card that's in there. It does show it in the device manager, but it wont use it as the main graphics card. (the pc has intergrated graphics). (The Riva card is a pci) Everytime I reboot it says the integrated graphics are disabled which they are (I did do that) and asks me to enable them. I say no and it reboots normally. I've tried to use the latest drivers off nvidias website but they won't let the pc boot up. I found the old riva drivers cd, and now it's booting, but when i click on the riva card in the system manager window it says it can't find all of its drivers, even though i keep pointing it to browse the cd. What do I do?

The computer is a packard bell amd k6-2 333mhz with 64 mb ram plus 16mb the card adds.

Thanks for the help.

You could back track.
Redo it entirely with the on-board graphics enabled and then, when it's running properly, disable the on-board and reinstall the TNT card.
Something in the recovery disk isn't getting the message and that's how I'd get around it.
It's a good bet that one of our members with Packard Bell experience knows a short cut, so if you're in no hurry it'll probably turn up in a few hours.
