Does anyone have any information on or references for the current status of computer gaming-- particularly the number of FPS games sold compared to previous years? I'm asking because, as I was Christmas shopping, I realized that I have bought only 1 computer game this year- compared to 5 or 6 per year previously. This decrease in games bought, in my case, is because I play UT and my son mostly plays the Half-Life based mods (Team Fortress, CS, etc.). Because of the multiplayer nature and the free add-ons of these games, the replay value appears to be infinite. Not much need to buy new games.
