Well, I finally got CS to work, somewhat. My framerates and video are abysmal and I have no sound during gameplay. I get sound when choosing options in the menu but silence once in the game itself.
When I had my P3 700 with the BCM QS 440 BX mobo it would actually work. Specs are in sig, any helpful hints? TIA

I had the same problem before Tim, with the same soundblaster all I did was tweak the Soundblaster first how many speakers do you have?

For framerates, if you run on OpenGL you have to disable Vsync. It's annoying IMO, but it gets me (Ti4200) to the maximum 100 fps in that game whereas if I have Vsync enabled, I get like 60 fps. :: shrug ::

The framerates I'm talking about here are like 4 fps! |

Wish I could say that. Well, without really doing anything my visual graphics were better, everything didn't look so pixel like and grainy. But the fps were more like 1 per second! And this time I had artifacts.
I must have my 4 in 1's all screwed up. Help... please. |

Have you tried messing around with the soundblaster options and changing your speakers to 4spkrs or you can even put 5 sometimes the sounds come from 2 spkrs and sometimes 4. Just try messing with your Sound blaster options.
