Combat Flight Simulator 3
I tried to play Combat Flight Simulator 3 for the first time since I bought my new graphics card. I started the game and before the menu came up there was a jumbled mess of graphics. The menu displayed fine but when I tried to play the game things keep flickering and flashing and it's just a big mess of colors. I reinstalled the game twice and the same thing still happens.

You might have a conflict, Or a bad video card.

The video card is not bad. All of my other games work. (Medal of Honor-Spearhead, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology) There is no conflict.

I'm guessing a resolution issue or maybe a sync out of range.
Try setting your video card refreash rates to optimal. and starting out with 800x600 res. I love too fly! Fighter Ace 3 rocks!

have you tried setting up the advanced options? there's a huge amount of settings you can try. i dont know the optimal specs for cfs3 but it seems like a huge hog on a system. the worlds are huge and very detailed, so thats many many polygons to render, let alone the ai.
ive played it on my athlon2200, with 265ddr333, gf4ti4200 128mb 8x, maxtor 80gb 8mb cache, and it gets choppy now and then at 1024x768x32 with all the advanced set to full. ive set these a bit lower and the game runs like a charm, even in heavy dogfights. the menu wasnt really clear either, but i could recognize everything. it seems like its in a different res that ingame. can you read the menus or is it totally blurred?

My menus are perfectly clear. But the menu flickers a little. I had to turn the graphics way down on my GeForce 2 I don't want to do that now. Thanks for the replies.
