Hey I was wondering why the Geforce MX is so much cheaper than anything out there!!! (well at least in the UK)
The Cheapest I found it for was for £77! The same place sells voodoo 3's for £110! So would it be qorth me upgrading from a Voodoo3 to a Geforce MX? Cheers. Andrew. http://www.clan-xenon.com - Ultimate UT Clan Website |

Not really. Considering that I know you play UT, if you lose the Voodoo3, you lose Glide. The MX card isn't much of an upgrade, if you were gonna go for a Geforce2 GTS I'd say go for it, but not for the MX. The MX is the budget Geforce, released to compete with the Voodoo4.

Andrew,
Make sure that you give us some 3DMark 2000 scores when you get that V5. ; )

Hmmm that I really don't know....but the reason I'm considering the Radeon is because the 64mb version gives better performance then the regular Geforce 2 GTS 64mb and costs less too. I think it is still quite a bit more expensive than the V5 though. HTH

Floppyman,
I am thinking about getting the ATI All in Wonder 64 DDR soon. What do you all think about that card. Does anyone here own one ? |

Just remember about the other all in wonder devices.
Weren't amazing at 3d, Weren't amazing at TV. TV cards are quite cheap so if u want the basic tv tuner functions get a Radeon and a TV card. But if u want the fancy pause live tv yada then it will have to be a compromise. Andrew. |

I'm not sold on ATI yet. Agreed Andrew, the recent ATI cards do alot of things, but nothing that well. I think they took a step in the right direction with the Radeon, but a truly great Gamer-ish video card from ATI is still a generation of silicon or two away, I think.
