I have a Voodoo Banshee 16mb AGP card and when I play Hitman Codename 47 it laggs quite alot. I put the graphics on low and all that but it still does. I can only play in D3d and OpenGl. The readme says also says that the game does not work in 3dfx with a Banshee. Anyway I think that if I could play in 3dfx the game would be alot smoother. So can anyone help me with a way that I could possibly do this. I tried looking for a patch but could not find one.
Thanks.

AMD k6-2 550Mhz
64mb Ram
Windows ME

You should upgrade your computer to 128MB's ram for playing games and your game should play a lot smoother.

What resolution are you running?

If I remember correctly Hitman is an Unreal Engine game, you are running in Glide, correct?

Also, how many applications running in the background while you play the game? Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del before you start the game, and see how many other apps are running.

I could play UT in 800 x 600 with a Voodoo3 3000 on a K6-2 500, at around 40 frames per second. It shouldn't be that big a trick to get better performance.

I'm playing in 640x480 but not in glide. In open gl. that is the problem I can't play in glide. I play Unreal Tournament in 800x600 and it is fine.

Did you attempt to play in Direct3D? It may run in there fine.

I hate to say it but, It's probably time for a video card and memory upgrade. If you don't have the money for an upgrade, think about the games you buy before you buy them. That is a very current game, designed to play on the latest video chipsets. Banshee is an old man in the 3DFX department. Save your money and upgrade young grasshopper. Memory should be at least 128 Megs for most current releases.
