Not having played FS2 for ages, I decided to reinstall it and zap through it again. Unfortunately there is an installation problem on the 1st CD and some data files have been corrupted (God knows how) and won't extract, so the installation halts. Anyone know a way I can get past this? The game is so old now, it's probably not even supported any more. I even tried copying the CDROM files to the HDD and installing from there, but no joy. I was so looking forward to firing this one up again and trying all the fan mods out there.
I can't think of the name of the file which is causing the problems at the moment, but if you think it would be useful, I can get it.

I've had FreeSpace 2 for a few years now and never gotten around to playing it. The reason ? It never installs correctly.
I'm thinking of buying "SkipDoctor" ( not just because of that game) maybe it'll help. |
