Well v5 not fitting in my case by 1/8th of a inch and the fact that I dont want to loose a drive bay buy taking a angle grinder to it, im going to buy a Radeon 64mb DDR or Geforce 2 GTS Wednesday morning. At the moment i favour the GTS.
Which one would you buy in my case and why? many thanks! Andrew. http://www.clan-xenon.com - Clan for emerging UT stars |

go for the GF2
Based on what I read at http://www.tomshardware.com, the GTS is the better chipset. Go to the Graphics Guide and read the GF2 articles for yourself.

Well I ordered the retail version of the 64mb radeon last sat..should be coming soon. Why did I choose it? Better performance at higher resolutions (it's got faster ddr ram, make sure you get the retail version though), and it's cheaper than the GF2. If you wanna wait, I can post some benchmarks from my dual 800mhz system when I get it. HTH

Well what review I was looking into was a comparision of the cards in Real World Applications: Q3 & UT.
Now the amount of banners i would click to have a site that simply let u select cards, what game or benchmark and then will display graphs showing performance. Well I went for the Geforce 2 but an ASUS version! Not sure if this is wise but its got fancy temp monitoring stuff onboard and a review on the net shows it the same as the Creative version. Ill to post some bench marks with my PII 300 @ 450mhz and when my Components arrive with a Celleron 600 @ 900mhz + Andrew. |
