Snapping????

I'm sure one of you gamers can help me out.
When I'm playing Ghost Recon(by myself) I can here a faint snapping sound coming from my monitor.
What is it and what can i do to get rid of it? The monitor is a Viewsonic E90f and the video card is an ATI 7500LE.

I only have Ghost Recon installed. I think it used to do the same thing with Soldier Of Fortune. It only seems to do it when I'm running(in the game of course).

maybe the monitor is having trouble running high resolutions and can't keep up with a refresh rate. it may be defective, maybe?!

The only time it happens is when I'm "running" in the game.
