Question Recommended game specs.....

What is the big secret about this ?
Surely a month before the game goes on the shelf they're not still trying to find out what it'll run on ?
Halo for the pc is supposed go on-sale 10/8 and there's still no information on what it'll run on. And don't get me started about HL2.
This is one habit of game developers that I really wish they'd break.

Well they released some stuff on halflife2 and it will be able to run on pretty much anything halflife 1 would run on, just with crappy performance and graphics, at least thats what i heard.

What coolcps is sayin is true but to have decent graphics you should have at least a 1.5Ghz processor 512mb ram and a Radeon 9500pro.

I've been over both the Halo and the Hl2 sites, repeatedly, and neither is saying anything.
There is no official statement on either.
I can make good guesses as well, but the official specs are their job and they're not doing it.
What's more, there's no good reason, let alone a logical one, for them not doing it.
These guys are getting cut more slack then they deserve on this.

Much better.
One is 933, which makes some sense, and the rest were 2.0 ( they didn't ) .
Now you know why I'm complaining.
I await the full rlease.
I still say you shouldn't have to be researcher to find game specs.

Well sometimes people don't think. Like websites with links that pop up Acrobat Reader for info instead of an HTML page... However much of a pain this may be.. it just seems like something we have to live with

Z_A,
Yes but no.
Too many game companies are skirting the " warranty of merchantability"

The problem is a real one.
