It looks official, HL2 is Delayed...

The people over at shacknews claim they recieved an email from Doug Lombardi, big wig at VALVe, that the game has been pushed back. Lots of people on HL2 forums are screaming conspiracy. Your be the judge... http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/28497 ... now lets all bite our tongues, shed a tear, and wait until christmas.

One things for sure, Halo sales will be good.

Good and bad: good because it gives me a chance to do some slight upgrading, bad because I want this game so freaking bad and now we have to wait even longer!!!

It just angers me they waited a week before the release, promising they will make the deadline several times, then without any answer why, "Delayed, bye now!"

What the hell? Ah well They know we will buy it no matter what they do.

Why is it acceptable?!?!? Answer me that. Why should video game companies be allowed to LIE and deceive people on a consistent basis. They treat us consumers like dog crap and they wonder why so many people pirate their software. That's it!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to hear any more b*tching and moaning from these rediculous companies about the consumer being unfair to the company.

How annoying...

From what I read, a hacker stole a third of the source code. I would say that's an excuse for a delay.

The hacker also stole a playable versions of HL2! I'm not gonna dnload it myself, I'd much rather wait for the actuall game, but because of this hacker it may take a while longer.

It was a sophomore at digi pen and his roommate or friend or something like that ratted him out. My friend said that he saw the president of nintendo and another guy escorting the guy out thats all I know for now, he also told me his roommate had a copy of the source code in his computer too.

And HL2 is delayed til 2004 is wait Ive been hearing because they have to go and change somethings in the code.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Nintendo has nothing to do with Valve. Or maybe your talking about something else and I'm just not paying attention.

According to the hacker that stole it and released it and the beta, he said that what he got from Valve was all that they had to that point and it was not finished, he said there was no way they would have it done in time. I wont download the source code or the beta though, i have better things to do. Like drool over the pictures of HL2.

Here is the Hackers words.

Well, I forgot to update you with the freshest stuff from
Valvesoftware.

Detonator-52.13-ANON got leaked today, its the new NVidia
drivers for HL2, though i have no fancy video card to test the
driver on.

Btw., for those of you still thinking -ANON is a group, i have
to say it isnt. Its just Anonymous.

To all those saying HL2 was delayed because of the hacking
action, ill just remind you that what was leaked is what Valve
has, nothing more and nothing less, so its pretty good to
understand it wasnt finished yet.

Also I'd like to point out the E3 was one big fake by Valve.
Ever tried to kill that soldier in physicstown ? Notice the
door will still get kicked ? No scripted sequences ?

To everyone saying this is no Beta: I'd like to point out that
THIS is what you wanted Valve to release on 9/30/03, theres no
such thing as a much better release in Valves network!

To Valve: I suggest you stop lying to your customers about how
much was stolen/compromised, or I'll have to release everything
just to prove my point. And you know what you got, as I do.

- Anonymous leaker

To be honest im getting a copy of Half Life 2 from a friend from the cracked source code. I still plan on buying the full game since the one I am getting is glitch-filled. My gaming side wants me to play it so bad so I couldnt say no when he offered to get me a copy.
