SimCity 4 Not Working. HELP PLEASE.

I just got a new computer yesterday, and I've just installed SimCity 4. I tried playing the game, and first of all the intro movie plays for 3 seconds, stops, and then moves onto the city view. When I click on the Mayor Tutorial it starts loading, and then as soon as it finishes loading and shows the city, the game closes. WHY?! I'm running Windows XP, if that helps.

this might be caused by a lot of different things. at first, have you done any upgrades for the game, i dont know about xp-problems but there are upgrades available.
if that doesnt help, it might be your vidcard, check in control panel -> display -> settings if your vidcard is ok.
for other hardware that might be conflicting, check device manager
(also in control panel, system -> device manager)

give an as detailed as possible description for the pc, this helps alot to find a solution.
