Very Rusty

I know practice makes perfect , but I also need some tips. With halo HL2 and Doom 3 out or coming out I need tips on how to be an effective 1st person shooter player. In the beginning days of RTCW and Counterstrike I was somewhat a force to be reckoned with but now I stink. So any advice or links would be appreciated.

Definately check out UT2003. It'll whip you into shape in a few weeks. Just keep increasing the bot levels and play online a bit. The more you get used to seeing how other players move, the more you can predict where they are going to move and where to put your crosshairs.

A good reaction time is essential as well. Ever play dodgeball?

That comp is great.
So you need a good mouse and some practice.
What games do you have that get really basic ?
You know, snipe, sneak, reload, etc. and pay attention to the sounds.

I have counter strike and RTCW right now. I'm about to get halo and unreal tournement 2003. I'm anxouisly awaiting HL2 and Doom 3 like everyone else. What would you all suggest for a good gaming mouse. I know optical is a good way to go, but im also curious about roller ball. I think i just need practice and I need to deal woth dieing until i get good again.
