Halo unable to join lan / internet game.

My specs
Athlon 2600+
Asus AV8X-X
1024 Crucial ram
9500 pro 128 meg
(2) 80 gig WD 8 meg HDs in Raid 0

When I play halo it runs fine with no problems; however when I try and join a game on my lan or the internet it keeps telling me my cd key is invalid. I am able to "see" the server; it is just when I click on join game that I have the problem. I have reinstalled twice [running 1.02 patch] I made absolutely sure I typed in the correct key from the package. All computers on the lan are running the same version [1.02]

Any ideas?

I finally got it fixed. I managed to get the cd keys mixed up. I found that both copies of the game will install with the same cd key; you just cannot play online like that. After being careful with the box [and the cheap cd cover that MS uses to put the cd in] I got both installed correctly.

I guess I just need to slow down.
