Computer tweaks for gaming

Hi

Is there anyway to tweak my comp (not overclock) to improve game performance.

Im playing quite a few games both online and standalone they run fine but i notice in the Online games that some people run faster etc and was wondering if theres any settings i can do to perhaps improve perfomance/fram rates etc etc

768mb ram

128mb 4600Ti Gcard

Check the RAM timings in the BIOS and see if you can set it from "Normal" to "Turbo" or similar.

i can set it to Turbo which i did but comp kept crashing so had to change it back (

Looks like your RAM doesn't support faster timings.

its one stick of 2700 256mb and one stick of 512mb 2700

tis a shame (

any otehr ideas?

What games? i know in counterstrike, you can edit the config file to tweak your connection settings and some graphic settings to give you optimum performance.

If you can run the stick of 512 alone at the turbo settings you are way ahead. Save the other stick for another box.
