Does Halo utilize the DX9 rendering features?Just to know...

Yes it does but, you have the option of changing them.
So there's 1.1 , 1.4 , and 2.0 shaders and you can set them. Getting it running smoothly on your system will have alot to do with you tweaking and testing. Just a note : I don't think you should have to be doing all this. Somebody really dropped the ball. |

pam123 is right. Halo is a real hog. I have a XP 2800+ with an overclocked 9500 Pro and 512 mg of ram and only can run the game smoothly at 1028 resolution with AA and AF turned off. (I can run Jedi Academy at 1200 resolution with AA at 16 and AF at 8)
On the other hand the game is quite fun (so far at least). |

You can see my machine's specs below. I had to play the game in 800x600 and it still ran choppy. I'm glad I played the demo first.
