My thoughts on Max Payne 2

I go this game the other day at CompUSA by using their price match system, Fry's had it for 33.99, but I didn't want to go all the way out there. Best Buy also has it for 34.99. So far this game is great, the best graphics I have seen on a game yet, and with my system on FULL settings there is no slowdown at all. If you liked the first game, you will definately love this one, they improved everything. There is no multiplayer, but I think that user-made mods will be very popular for single-player. The story is pretty confusing so far, but very interesting. And one of my favorite new features is the cussing, first game I have played where they actually say F*** and do not try to sensor it in anyway(I have heard it a good amount of times in the first few levels), it gives the game more of an R rated movie feel. I suggest that you all check this game out if you have a computer that will play it well!

Yea, but they have it for 34.99 themselves, they were out though so when i got it i went to CompUSA and had them match Fry's Price. I am about halfway through the game and it is great!

I don't even have the first Max Payne.

Perhaps I should be able to get the two of them for Xmas.

I have Max Payne, but I didn't have a mouse (only trackballs) and was still totally accustomed to using the "Doom" style arrow keys for game play. I kept getting slaughtered just trying to aim. Now I'm use to my MX700, I'm going to give it another shot...

Is the story of the game strong? Does it fully develop as the action unfolds?

The story is hard to follow at first, but that was because I had forgot what happened in MP1. They have a Previous thing that explains all of MP1, watch that first. I thought that the story was really good, I love the picture book cutscenes and the voice acting, Max Payne has a style of its own that makes it very unique. There are times where you will want to play because you want to see waht happens next in the story.

Then it's a good game. I'll definitely get it... when price drops a little.

I just got max payne 2 today and played thru the first few levels. I like the story much better than the first one. Its a great game, with very impressive visuals and alot of fun so far.

Max Payne Not Worth the Money!
Similar to the First, No Multiplayer, Short Lived Adventure, I thinking Max Showing Off His Flying Action gets A little boing.
Buy It From E-Bay, Someone will defininately want to sell it for a low price cause the beat the game and after that there is not much left! But it stills Fun while it lasts!

Too many cut scenes. Too many- surprise you're dead instances. But great visuals (wish Halo had this). The level with the Big Head is a hoot.

Overall- fun but should not be priced higher than the Serious Sam games were ($19.99). I paid $50 for my copy (ouch).
