Okay I know I've posted this problem in others thread but no one seems to notice it.......
The game played fine until some loading screens and it crashes. Then there's a message saying "gathering exception data"and the game closes. ![]() Can anyone tell me what is the message about?Hardware driver?I've done installing any latest drivers I've known of.Yet it still crashes on me. Please, anyone that know anything about this error do reply cause I wanted to play this game so badly.....drooling.

The Halo support site suggests turning off AA and using the latest 4 in 1 drivers if you are using a VIA chipset, however, it doesn't have anything specific to your error message.
Is anything overclocked? Did you try turning down the resolution or try turning off some of the video quality featues? |

Is this the demo or the full thing? I had that error once on the demo. I still have no idea where it came from. Hasn't happened since.

No thats not the demo but the full game and I haven't overclocked any of my system.
Finally I can get around the game only by one step.....that is turning the Image quality tab to "performance"in the display properties. But that didn't last long coz until some fight intense scene it pop out to the desktop again and then the disturbing error message again... Is it a bug or somethin??So much for a go gold game. |

What drivers are you using? Try getting the 44.03 driver. Mine is ok.

This appears to be a common problem- I looked at several Halo forums and this problem frequently comes up. People list various fixes but without consistency- works for some, not for others. Some of the fixes:
run in compatibility mode reinstall video drivers set mipmapping to highest quality and turn off AA and AF run program with a NoCD patch For instance- look at this forum- Halo Forum and search on exceptions |
