I am not sure if I should post this here or in the other hardware section but it seems like I can get better responses here since all the people here play games of course, Well anyway what mouse do you guys think are the best for gaming? I heard wireless mice are slower then wired mice but by how much of a second? And also what is the best mouse as in how good it scrolls and stuff, And also what do you guys think about the MX700? Do the batteries make it heavier and not as good to use for gaming?

I love my Logitech MX500 for gaming. If you want wireless get the MX700. As far as wireless mice go, the MX700 is the only one to use. Couple that with a nice smooth mouse pad, and you are all set.

I was thinking of the MX700 but how much slower is it compared to wired mice? Also I am having a hard time trying to decide between wired or wireless.

As for the mouse pad, I didn't use one either, but I got an everglide gigantica, and it really does make a difference.
I've used the MX700, and it is awesome. I don't notice a difference in performance between that one and my MX500. The weight really isn't an issue. |

I can't tell any difference in speed from the MX700 vs. corded mice. I have used other cordless mice that were horrible! But the MX700 acts just like a corded mouse.
Re: Weight - what's weight matter? you don't lift the mouse... anyways, if it does matter somehow it's not big enough that I have ever noticed it. As I said before, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. |

I would be able to use a wired mouse easily, But I really like the MX700, It fits my hand good and I like the buttons. But I guess if I can easily plug my mouse into my computer if its 2 feet away from me then I should probably do that huh? And also what do you think about that keyboard that they bundle with the MX700? Is it good or is there really no need for a wireless keyboard?

The MX duo, I assume is what you are asking about with the bundles wireless keyboard. That keyboard is fine. The MX700 is the exact same frame as the MX500, so if you don't see the need for wireless, go with the MX500. I went corded for two reasons. #1 - I saved $20.
#2 - I take my pc to LANs, and I avoid interference and an extra device to carry around (mouse dock).

I guess I will have to wait and see how many cables and how much room I will have, I would get the cordless but since I would be so close to my PC I could just use a corded, Err but I want a reason to get the MX700 keyboard and mouse dou so badly.

gues it depends what kind of games you play,
i switched to a trackball playing homeworld (3d strategy). now i use it for fps too my current one is a logitech marblemouse usb only downside is no scroll (it does however have a pgdn and pgup button) i'm realy happy with it and wouldnt want to go back to a "regular" mouse |
