I have Diamond Viper 550, GA7ZX mother board, with 750 TBird, 256megs of ram, and a 40 gig hard drive, with an Optiquest Q71 monitor.
I am using the original Win 98 drivers from Diamond. The screen moves left to right constantly. I tried the updated drivers from Diamond. They are a little more stable, but I loose about an inch of my horizontal screen size and cannot adjust it to full. Where and what are the best drivers for this card? Thanks |

Uh, you can't adjust your monitor?
Check out Nvidia's site for the reference drivers - the 550 is based on the TNT1, I believe.. (right?). |

Viper 550
I have tried every set of TNT drivers on Nividia's site. None are stable with this motherboard. I have also installed the Via 4in1 4.25 drivers. No help. The desktop acts as if it's about to jump off the monitor. I guess Diamond Cards and the Gigabyte motherboards just don't get along. Any other suggestions?
I also reduced the AGP to 1X, and set the apparature size to 8 meg. |
