GTA: VC Problem

Hey there. My problem is this. All of the sudden, Vice City just doesn't work. At all. You try to run it, it acts like it's about to load, reads the CD, and then nothing else happens as though I never did anything. I've already tried reinstalling it, and I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be working. I was playing it, I closed it and left for an hour, came back, and this. Any ideas?

Here's the basic info. If there's something I'm forgetting, let me know.

GeForce 5200 FX
2.4 MHz P4
512mb RAM

have you modded your VC directories anyhow (like cars or so ?) i got the same problem after importing some downloaded cars.

otherwise, maybe regcleaner can help. sometimes register keys arent deleted when uninstalling a game. with this you can manually delete the key.
do you have any experience with regcleaner? you have to be a bit careful not to delete anything wrong, it can cause serious software problems. works fairly easy though.

I have modded, but using vice city mod manager, which apples the mods with one click. Never caused me any problems before, and I didn't add anything new between the last time I played it and when I next tried to run it.

Never heard of regcleaner, but I'll give it a look.
