Call Of Duty Problem
Last night I downloaded a demo of Call Of Duty. I installed the program and when I started the program the screen went blank. I could hear the sound but no screen, the only way out was to reboot.
I have a MB=Asus A7V Processor= AMD Thunderbird 1G Ram= 2X256 Crucial PS= Antec 430 Tru Power OS= Home Edition XP VC= ATI 8500 64MB Monitor= Viewsonic 19" LCD set at 1280X1024 Directx 9.0b Thanks for any help. Bob H. |

I had the same problem with the full version of COD- when using Catalyst drivers 3.9 and 3.8. Installing 3.7 version fixed the problem. The manual says that the game was tested using Catalyst 3.7 and that the game might not work with later versions.

A recent firingsquad article says turning off fast write and not turning AA on beyond 4X when using the 3.9's will increase stability when playing CoD.
