Question game won't load

my uncle dropped off his computer today, and there is a problem with a game called wizardry 8. it goes through the entire intro, but then just freezes on a black screen and won't continue passed that point

specs:
p2 400mhz
windows 98
160mb ram
radeon 7500 with latest drives
directx 9

all of his other games work just fine, and i have never heard of this game before, so i am not sure if there are patches that are needed or what

thanks
craig

No offense, but maybe it is time to also upgrade that system.

no i completely agree, lets just say that my uncle has spen too much time playing games and not enough time working (he about 40), and so money is somewhat of an issue. i gave him that computer after i picked it up at garage sale for 20 bucks and added some ram. the video resolution is at the lowest setting, so i don't think that is it

That's funny, because probably way back when, that system probably cost a lot of money. LOL...
