aoe2
For the last couple of days, when I have tried to play aoe2, after the video's the screen goes black, no sound, nothing. What is the problem?

What is AOE2? The name I mean... Anyways. Have you tried updating all of your computers drivers. Video card, BIOS, mobo, etc??? That could be a start. Does this happen in any other game or program?
It could be a few other problems, but typically the best way I try to solve something like that is to update. Could be a PSU going bad also. Not sure yet. What are your system specs, by the way? Good luck...

AOE2 is Age of Empires II
 Do you have the most recent update for AOE2? Do you have AOK or the conquerer's expansion pack?

It is both, age of kings and the expansion. I have done software upgrades recently and every game but that one works.
