CPL using WinXP Pro...?

I was wondering why is the CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League) using computers that have Windows XP Professional on them? If anything I thought they would be using Home. Is professional really better for gaming or is it more stable or what?

I think the only differences between XP Home and XP Pro are that XP Pro has support for multiple cpus and can join a domain whereas Home cannot.
