age of empires problem
alright, this kid emailed me, and since i don't play games at all, let alone online, i had never heard of a problem like this, so i figured i would post it and see if anyone knew how to fix this

What his he getting for a ping?
Is running the same version of the game as everybody else? Is he hitting the equivalent to "start" after he connects to a game?

i don't know what he is getting, but i do know that he is behind a router if that makes a difference (linksys). are there any ports that need to be opened
