OK Gang, I bought my son Final Fantasy VIII for his pc and we are having problems with the movies skipping and stuttering. I see where I can go to quarter screen in the game config, but who wants that? It did stop the problem though. I tried running the movie at low resolution but problem persists. So my question is...what am I missing to make this work? I have been told that a CPU upgrade may solve this issue. I can go to a PIII 650 with this mobo [which will let me go up to the faster 100MHz FSB]
System PII Celeron 500MHz Voodoo 4-4500 32MB PCI 128 RAM Amptron (PC Chips [I know] PII LMRT3741 mobo latest BIOS and drivers 46.1GB 7200rpm Ultra ATA 100 IBM HD (new HD)running in UDMA mode 4 (66MB/s) [max mobo will support] Clean install of Win 98SE with all upgrades/fixes including Direct X 8 50x CROM 8x4x32x Sony CDRW C-Media PCI Audio Legacy Device and CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device showing for sound in the Device Manager Any suggestions?? Thanks |
