Benchmark Question
These are my specs, what kind of 3dMark03 score should i get? I'm getting about 4000 right now running at 800x600.
abit ic7-g mobo p4 800mhz 2.6 oc'ed to 2.9 corsair 513 ddr400 info-tek 9800np flashed to pro 128mb At 1024x768 i'm getting scores around 3600. Any advice on why I'm getting such low scores? Oh yeah, and my 9800np flashed to pro is oc'ed to 400core and 350mem, if i oc any higher, i get checkboard artifacts. I think i will flash bios back to regular np, and overclock higher. How does this sound? Thanks in advance. Last edited by KyleTheYellowDart; 12-14-2003 at 04:04 PM. |

First of all, have you benched your oc to ensure that it does increase benchmark scores? That's the place to start.
Is d3d set to best performance? |

Bench before OC, and again after. Go with 'best performance'...won't notice much visual difference between it and best quality anyway.

First off, don't judge the entire performance of you system by 3D mark. There are some more thorough bechmarks out there that can test the overall effect of tweaks that you do. BTW, don't expect a huge score like you get with 3Dmark01. 3Dmark03 is very harsh by comparison.
