Can my pc play PS2
A number of years ago someone told me of a program that would allow you to play playstation, gamecube....games. I forget the term. Well I'm noticing there are less and less really good games coming out for the pc lately. Doe these programs still exist? Can I play XBOX gamecube or PS2 game on my pc? If so, what do I need?

Its really about getting the software you need to play them, you can emulate everything from arcade games (mame) to NES to genesis to PSone and N64 games. Im not sure how legal it is, i think having the roms for more than 24 hours without owning the original game is legal but not sure.

there aren't any emulators for the ps2 or xbox yet, and if there were the games would run very poorly, even on the fastest machine.
as far as making a backup, you can. I don't know exactly how, but I do know that you will need a mod chip for the console. You can't just put in a burned copy and have it play. you can buy mod chips online, i think for the ps2 it actually just plugs into one of the usb ports. just do a google search for ps2 mod chips. |

Yeah curently 3 consoles emulator was under progress. But I think te X-BOX will be the 1st to be emulated despite it's closer to a PC.
But guess it will be 2 or 3 years from now until the emulator becomes "stable"and playable.
