Question Counterstrike questions

My friend just gave me an old counterstrike CD and i installed i was wondering what updates i need to play it online?

Thanks i just played it online and i dont see what the big hype is about it the graphics are horrible and you only have a Hand-Gun? how do i get better weapons?
Is there a way to imrove the graphics?

You can buy weapons and ammo before the round starts.

Also, I've always thought the graphics to be decent. What are your current video settings?

I had the Resolution on something like 500-300 and changed it to 1024-783 (i think) and the graphics hav improved.. how do i buy weapons and where do i get the money?

You get money after the rounds over (more if you win), killing enemies, defusing bombs, rescuing hostages. Schtuff like that.

I think the default is b to buy weapons.

Take the tutorial, it will teach you all you need to know. personaly i like the .45 and mp5.

Ok iv work out how to play and buy the weapons
I was wondering is there a graphics update because iv seen some screenshots and it looks much much better than it looks on mine
Could anyone post a screenshott of it when in game so i can see if its my computer?

maybe they were condition zero screen shots. Either way, its fine as it is, you dont need any fancy graphics to make a game fun.

yeah also, set you graphics mode to openGL at like 1024 x 768
