Benchmarking
I'm new to this stuff so
Now that my computer is working whats a good piece software to use for bench marking, and how would i increase my pc's performance without over clocking. Its a AMD XP 2800+ 2.08Ghz FSB 333Mhz Matsonic 8167C Motherboard VIA Apollo KT333CF 768 MB DDR Ram ddr128mb 333Mhz Creative Radeon 9200se 80GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 Hard Disk LG DVD Rom Running a fresh win xp pro with up to date sp Thanks |

3D Mark 2003 is a good benchmarking utility.
To keep performance high, scan for spyware/adware/viruses, and keep you drive defragmented, update your proggies often. I've boosted my score a bit in 3DMark by using the Omega Drivers... |

Search SiSandra. Utility that comes with a multitude of benchmark testers and information apps.

To increase performace I suggest turning off all those background programs.
If you really want to know what can be tun on/off, I suggest going to http://www.blackviper.com/ Great site. Always keep your registry clean, I use regedit. Its no longer free. You can find lots of registry cleaning software. Hope this helps
