Actually any final fantasy game rocks... well except for 8, that pretty much sucked.

You didn't like it? How is that possible, unless you just dislike some Final Fantasy games. This is one of the better ones, in my opinion of course. Oh well. I guess that's your personality. I'm okay with it.

1, 2, and 3 were for nes or the famicom.
4, 5, and 6 were super famicom or snes.
7, 8, 9 were ps1.
and no one cares about 11.

i haven't heard much good about ffx-2, except it looks pretty.

I love Final Fantasy. I have (in one way or another) 1-3 for the nes. 1 and 2 for the gameboy platform. 4-6 and mystic quest for the super nes platform. 7-10, FF tactics for the playstation/ps2 platform.

I won't buy or probably even play X-2. When I start to see "Expansion" games for gaming platforms I start to cry a little. Ive always felt strongly about "expansion modules"... I feel I'm being cheated if I'm spending my money on an expansion which gives me a few features for a game I need to own when I could be spending the same amount of money on a complete and different game.

On a side note: I also won't be paying for FFXI. I'm also against paying monthly for any game since I can sit there and dedicate a regular amount of time to something like a game. If I only get a chance to play it a few times any particular month what am I paying for?

Sadly... Square and the Final Fantasy genre is abandoning me... *sob*.

Ive played pretty much all the FF games, except I think I missed one of the really early famicom ones, and all of them were great in my opinion. FF3 (american, FF6 Japan) is still my favorite out of all of them, then probably FF7 followed by FFX. FFX had such a good story imo, I thought it was pretty touching and whatnot, though lots of people hated it for some reason.

I stopped playing FFX-2 at around 20%, because I want to get the perfect ending, but theres too much side stories which is kindof boring.

Oh my God FFX-2 suck ass! This is comming from a FF harcore player! my favorites are FFVII, FFX.

FFX-2 suck because...
1. The combat system is not balance. The enemy always has the advantage.
2. Only 3 Characters.
3. Honestly the story line is not, that interesting. I loved the ending of FFX. It was bitter/sweet if you will
4. Not used to see a sequel for the FF series.
5. The grid system...is weak after a while. You're very limited to how you can power up your characters.
6. This is an excellent for girls. (and even some girls will agree that is too girlie)
7. I bought it. I played. Beat it really fast, because for the exception of the last boss ( which by the way has the same weaness that of Sin) Most of the bosses are the same from FFX and you already know them.

Don't get me wrong I love FF series. Also before I forget... I agree pay montly fees for an online game is a big no, no! So FFXI is out of the question.

I can't wait for FFXII. want to see what it looks like!

Holy crap that comercial with the girls dancing and the music game an itch on my mind. Hate it!
I understand that SquareEnnix is suppose to release a dvd/vhs movie for the sequel of FFVII, sort of what they did with "FF the spirits with in" When this will happen is everyones guess, I believe that Square is very busy right now with the FFXII project. I've seen some early screen shots and it looks very promising. I supposed is the similar the plot they used in FFVII and FFX. We will have to wait and see!

Yep I love Final Fantasy games too, I thought FF8 was great Doobie cuz it was one of the more adult themed FF's like FFVII was, I didnt much care for FF9, I thought the whole card side game was lame as hell and all the characters were very kiddy. I dont know whats worse kiddy or girly but I got about 20% of FFX-2 completed also and then got Star Wars:KOTR on PC and havent touched FFX-2 again, maybe someday I'll start it again. I beta tested FFXI and got bored with it after 2 weeks and would definatley not pay to play it. But most if not all MMORPG's are pay to play so you cant complain if square/sony does it, the fees are to pay for server maintenance and updates, you would know that the game would be full of glitches and have crap servers if you ever played a free online game, such as Socom II or the first PSO.

I read about the FFVII-2 movie also and seen screen shots, its disappointing I was hoping for a game sequal. Cloud Rocked.

Vigo: At least FFXII will be offline and is looking very awesome from the screen shots I have seen.

I played FFVIII, I liked it. I would be nice to see what kind of graphic engine they used, for FFXII and the action, game play etc. I would like to see a very shocking ending, some twist and turns to build memento, and keep you excited every time you played.

and bought Star Wars:KOTOR and Age of the Mythology, and I haven't touch my PS2 in months...I fact I let my little brother borrow it for the weekend, I think I will let him have it.

FX-2 is final fantasy 10 part 2. For some reason they dicided to made a sequel? go figure? final Fantasy XII or FFXII is part 12th.

I know that is some what confusing. but if you know roman numerals you'll be fine, I saw a few more screen shots of, the sequel to FFVII (Read previous posts) and Cloud looks very impresive.

I heard that the story line is not that good. This information is coming from a very reliable source of mine, that to this day has not fail me. For some reason, now a days sequel, prequels and everything ending in "equel" is out of control. Some stories are better left alone. They are told once. Anything after that is just unnecesary, for the exception of the Godfather II.

Wasn't Godfather II a book before it was a film?
