Sorry I asked
About, a few days ago I asked if there was a "good" tank game around. Today I come back to post some thing else and Wa_La, I see 40 some thrds to "I hate tanks". So of course I read them (all)( and I kept asking myself "why are these people repling?) ( and WHY do I keep reading them?)
and now I do not remember what I wanted to post! AND! I never did find a "good" tank game! Man, I'm sorry I asked! I do remember it was about a game! |

i wish i could help, unfortunatly i don't know anny good tank games, do you mean simulation or tactical;
i had one back in the 486-days called 1944 across the rhine, but it was graphicaly verry weak by today's standards (still back then it was pretty good) http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...threadid=87430 maybee this thread will cheer you up |

yea, it's been a while since there was a game dedicated only to tanks.

Yeah, sometimes people say their opinion in forums rather then answering peoples questions. For example, someone asks how to make Battlefield faster for thier Radeon 7500, people say "7500 sucks! You need to get a 9800 Pro!" rather then "lower your graphics settings".
Good tank, artillary, airplane or battleship game... Battlefield 1942

well i read in a few gaming magazines lately about a game called soldner (should come out in april) on the reviews and fan pages it seems like there will be a big amount of tanks . it looks a bit like operation flashpoint, which is imho one of the best strategic fps games . after the upgades and modding, i had a huge variation of tanks, jeeps, choppers and so on. I read somewhere not too long ago about flashpoint 2, but i dont know if or when it comes out.
These are not pure tank sims, but i found flashpoint's vehicles fantastic. better than the tanks sims i played. hope this can give you at least something to look out for
